Hall’s Hart feels virtually unprecedented but there’s a precedent: 1934, with Joliat’s Hart, and 1935, with Shore’s second Hart or Goodfellow’s Hart or Pratt’s Hart. O’Connor too. There are actually lots of them, they’re just from way back when.

Look, I get that Price was the most valuable goaltender this year. What I don’t understand is, there’s an MVG every year, why this year is he more deserving of the Hart than some other MVGs (with higher GPS)?
