Phil Housley has some of the most impressive career offensive totals of any NHL defenceman, especially an American.

Phil Housley has no business in the Hall of Fame one of the worst defenders in history .
Absolutely horrible in his own end.
Scotty Bowman used him at centre for two seasons because he was so shitty at playing defense. If your Housley is in the Hall of Fame what about Paul Reinhart what about Craig Hartsburg what about so many other defence when they were actually better players than Phil Housley.
He’s in the Hall of Fame already, don’t we have to talk about him?
Regardless of his bad defence, his offensive numbers are far, far superior to Reinhart and Hartsburg. Are their cases that similar?
