I don’t think he has the numbers. If he gets in then Jeremy Roenick and Keith Tkachuk were far more deserving. If you score 500 you should be inducted I think Peter Bondra should get in before him. Not everybody was privileged to play on a team with Mike bossy. Not every superstar was on a stack team or got the privilege to win the Stanley Cup. He was a good player but to me I think that Alexei kovalev was even more skilled player and deserving of being in the Hall of Fame as well definitely Alexander Mogilny all of those players deserve to be in the Hall of Fame more than him. If you’re going to put Clark Gillies in there you may as well put Claude Lemieux in there as well. Claude Lemieux could win Stanley Cups and he was a great playoff performer and a gritty player I think he is very deserving of an induction. I think Derain Hatcher belongs in the Hall of Fame as well he captained the stars to their only cup. Phenomenal defenseman that literally would lay people out.Perfect leader and stay at home defenseman. I’m not saying that Clarke doesn’t belong I’m just saying that there are players that are not in the Hall of Fame that should be in there before him Like Roenick,Tkachuk Bondra Gaborik maybe Kolvachuck was one special player idn if he gets in but he brought people out there seats like Pavel Bure . There are players that are more deserving and he’s in there over them just because he won four Stanley Cups but really he was on a team with the best goal scorer arguably of all time in Mike Bossy. Not saying he wasn’t a great player but definitely right place right time. They need to not overlooked guys that don’t have a ring because they didn’t get the privilege of playing on a dynasty. Some players gave there heart and soul to the game but just couldn’t get a ring. That’s not a reason to snub a man with over 500 goals. Not even Wayne Gretzky could win a ring in L.A. when he won 4 in Edmonton he had Paul Coffee he had Jari Kurri, Paul Stastny Mark Messier so that’s at least 5 hall of famers and Mike Bossy and the islanders beat them in the finals I think more then once. Shows how great of a Team especially Mike bossy was as goal scorer. Other then Ovechkin then Brett Hull I put him third best pure goal scorer. So does he belong maybe but if he gets in Kovalev has to because if Kovalev played in the 80’s with his skill set I think would of had 700 goals. Plus skill wise he was insane some of the most beautiful hands of all time like Crosby or Gretzky. At the very least 500-600 goals if hr played then one of the first Russian to have his name ingaved on the cup and was a major player on there cup run. I think defensive and phenomenal stay down defenceman get snowed as well.
